It’s World Book day and there are many Speech and language-related books that are amazing reads. If you’d like more options, feel free to reach out. There are so many good ones! I would like to highlight one book that’s actually for school-aged children, 6- 8 years old. The book is A Boy Called Bat. This book is actually part of a series and is about a boy on the autism spectrum whose mom, a veterinarian, brought home a baby skunk to take care of until she can hand him over to a wild-animal shelter. I like this book because it’s a cute story that teaches new vocabulary and encourages awareness of children who have differences. Do you have a favorite speech-related book?
